Policies:

At Close to Home Kennels & Kuts, we are committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and satisfaction of your pets and our valued clients. To maintain a smooth and efficient operation, we have established the following policies:

Early grooming appointment drop off

Clients are welcome to deliver their dogs in advance of their scheduled appointments. We do places paramount importance on canine safety and, as such, early arrivals will have their dogs placed in a supervised daycare area until their appointment time. An additional daycare fee of $15 will be incurred for this service. Furthermore, unless otherwise specified, it is expected that all dogs are collected by 5pm.

Grooming appointment pick up

You are required to retrieve your dog promptly at the conclusion of their appointment, ideally within 30 minutes. Failure to do so within this designated timeframe will result in your dog being relocated to the daycare area, accompanied by an additional daycare fee of $15.

Flea and Tick Policy

We prioritize your pet's health and happiness. While our grooming environment is impeccably clean, we strongly recommend regular preventive measures for fleas and ticks to ensure your dog's comfort. In the rare event of an infestation, we will need the dog to be picked up immediately with a cancellation charge applied, or we will promptly address it with a gentle and effective flea and tick shampoo at an additional cost of $50, plus an additional cleaning fee of $50.

Vaccination Policy

Your pet's safety is of utmost importance to us. To ensure a healthy environment for all, we require all dogs to be up-to-date on two essential vaccinations: rabies and K9 cough (Bordetella). Please provide your dog's vaccination records before their grooming session. If they do not have their vaccinations up to date, or if we do not receive a copy before the scheduled appointment we will be unable to accommodate them on the property.

Pick Up and Drop Off Times

Our pick-up and drop-off times are between 8AM - 10AM and 3PM - 5PM. If you require an earlier or later pick-up or drop-off time, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please note that for dogs being boarded, if they miss the morning pickup time, an additional $15 fee will apply.

Price Changes Over Holidays

Please be aware that all prices are subject to change over the holiday season. We recommend confirming prices when scheduling your appointments during these periods.

Dematting Fur Policy

In cases of severe matting while your pet is being groomed, there may be an additional fee for dematting. We prioritize your pet's comfort and will shave the fur if necessary to ensure their well-being.

No-Show Policy

We understand that circumstances may change, but if you miss your appointment without notifying us, we will charge for half the requested service. This policy helps us manage our schedule and serve all our clients promptly.

Cancellation Policy

Life can get busy, and we completely understand. If you need to cancel your appointment, we kindly ask for a 24-hour notice. Failure to do so may result in a charge of half the service to respect our groomers' time.

Deposit Requirement

For certain appointments scheduled differently or in case of a previous no-show, we may request a deposit to secure the booking. This ensures that we can efficiently manage our schedule and offer the best possible service to all our clients.

Grooming Contract

For the safety and welfare of your pet, we kindly request that you sign our grooming contract if your pet is receiving grooming services, including nail trims. This is to ensure that both you and our team have a clear understanding of the services to be provided.
